Biography
Boris Ostrerov was born in the Former Soviet Union in 1986 and moved to the US in 1992. Since 2001, Boris Ostrerov’s work has been displayed at art shows, festivals and galleries, including the Tory Folliard Gallery in Milwaukee last month, and has earned several awards such as a national level Silver Key in the Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards. His first solo show was at the JCC Art Gallery in Milwaukee, WI in 2004. In the fall of 2007 semester he participated in the New York Studio Program, among 20 art students from private art colleges from in the US and Canada. His work has sprouted into several directions in terms of subject-matter and media, fusing elements of disciplines including painting, sculpture, installation and performance. Ostrerov will graduate in May of 2008 and plans to continue studying art in graduate school.
